Are you looking for suspension trainer exercises to do at home?
In this video, I’m going to show you a full body workout using the fit beast suspension trainer.
Hi, it’s Ivana, helping you get fit healthy and strong.
With so many of us doing home workouts right now, these suspension trainers come in really handy.
They’re a great way of getting a full body workout in a small space.
The Fitbeast Suspension Trainer
Fitbeast has sent me their suspension trainer to try out.
And I’m really excited about the possibilities.
I have used the original TRX before. I feel like this is just as sturdy and as strong.
I’m going to include the link in the comments for this particular fit, the suspension trainer, which I’m going to demonstrate with.
Doing A Full Body Workout With The Suspension Trainer
This is going to be a full body workout using the suspension trainer. Upper body, lower body, and of course, some abs as well.
So let’s get started.
Adjusting The Suspension Trainer
There are some adjustments here. You’ve got the red lines to show you the marks so that they’re even on both sides. You want to use some about hip with the part or shoulder with the part, depending on what exercise you’re doing. So it’s very easy to make the adjustment and just shift it. Obviously you want to make sure that it’s very, it’s suspended correctly behind the door.
Suspension Row
We’re going to start off with a row just to get the arms warmed up.
Standing Chest Press
Now we’re going to turn it around for the standing chest press.
Squats
Now let’s get the legs moving with some squats.
Pec Flys
Around to the front or some pec flies.
Triceps Extension
Now we’re going to go into a basic triceps extension. So release just a little bit and push as you come up. Now, things are pretty tough. So be careful when you’re putting your foot in drugs, I want to make sure that it’s secure and then set yourself up before you begin.
Reverse Flys
Now we’re going to move on to reverse flies, which are a lot trickier than they look.
Lunges & Pec Flys
And now a little combination move to really get the legs going.
Pullover
Now over to the pullover to get the lats going and for the shoulder stability as well. You’re also going to feel the abs quite a bit when this one, make sure you hold you out of super tight as you’re coming forward.
Single Arm Roll
Now we’re going to try a single arm roll. That’s a bit trickier. Don’t forget the other side.
The great thing about these suspension trainers is that when you’re working your legs, you can also feel the upper body working to stabilize. And there’s a lot of core work involved as well. So it really is a great full body workout.
Biceps Curl
Now we’re going to move on to a bicep curl.
Adjusting The Suspension Trainer
Now the great thing about the suspension trainer is that you can adjust the intensity just by changing your angle. So if I try to do the same exercise, the bicep curl here and pull up all the way. It’s a lot harder this way. And if I have a lot straighter and control with my lower body as well, so there’s a lot more body involved here.
If you’re a beginner, you can start here.
If you need a challenge, you cut it all the way to the bottom and really squeeze the biceps.
Leg Work On The Suspension Trainer
You want to be really careful when you’re putting your feet into the straps. Ideally you stay on the floor. So you’ve got, you’re supporting one side and then bring the other foot in. It’s a little bit tricky at first, but you get the hang of it and then come out and we’re going to do knee tucks
So that’s a lot of suspension trainer exercises.
You can either pick and choose, or you can go through the entire workout that I just showed full body workout. Two to three times that whole cycle would be a really great workout. And you can do this two to three times a week.
