Have you ever wondered how online coaching works?

My name is Ivana Chapman, and I’m going to take you through the process of online coaching.

I’m going to explain how I can help you get the results that you want.

I started Online Coaching in 2014, just shortly before my son was born. From the year 2000, I started personal training in a gym environment. So it’s been over 20 years now. I’m also a third Dan black belt in karate. And I started teaching children’s classes and regular adult classes as well, from about the age of 16.

So I’ve pretty much been a coach for most of my life.

Online coaching is very different than personal training.

You do have the support and accountability. You have someone there through the process. But just not when you’re there at the gym. If you need someone to move you along in the right direction. To give you the right steps as you progress.

That’s an ideal coaching scenario. You want to work out. You just don’t know exactly what’s right for you. A program that you get online is not going to take into account your personal situation.

You may have imbalances, muscular weaknesses. Certain exercises are not ideal for you, and that’s really not the way to be most efficient, and it’s not the way to achieve your goals or be successful long term.

How Does Online Coaching Work At Ivana Chapman?

I have you complete an online assessment. So that’s a pretty thorough online questionnaire that gives me your background information about your preferences, your lifestyle, any injuries, other things about your health that I need to know about.

When I get your online client intake form, I go through it and take my time to review anything that’s important.

We have our first Skype session where we talk about achieving your goal, everything, then your background that might be relevant to helping you achieve that and any additional questions that I have based on the intake form. I also want to take a look at your eating your nutrition.

Once we have that initial consultation, I go away and come up with a completely individualized workout plan just for you as well as give you advice on what kind of nutrition plan will work for you.

And it’s up to you to implement what I’ve given you. Essentially, it does come down to calories and macros, but how you actually achieve those things can come in many different ways.

Online Coaching Support Every Two Weeks

Once every two weeks we would have a focused 30 minute conversation, Skype, FaceTime, zoom…whatever it is that you prefer. We talk about any issues that you’ve been having. When it comes to the nutrition, when it comes to the workout program that I’ve given you, or anything in your life that you need to overcome. Or something that’s challenging you and keeping you from achieving your goal.

What Other Online Coaching Support Is Available?

I’m always available to my clients by email with 24 hours notice.

So if there’s any questions that come up along the way, I’m more than happy to answer them.

Your Workouts

When I give you a workout program, I’m also going to give you an instructional video that I’ve created myself for you to understand how to do the exercises. You’ll have all the teaching points that I think are important.

Video Feedback

Part of what I do as well is video feedback.

You can videotape yourself doing the exercises that I’ve prescribed and I can assess them for you, make sure that you’re doing them correct.

Nutrition Feedback

Like obviously my nutrition plan is not just sending you something by email and just say, eat this at this time. It’s more about teaching you, why you’re eating particular things at particular times, giving you options and helping you make those decisions along the way is a big part of what I do. I want to educate you about why you’re doing what you’re doing.

This is about managing your lifestyle in a way that makes sense for you.

What Are The Benefits Of Online Coaching?

Online coaching works because we spend time on the stuff that really matters the nutrition side.

And even more importantly, in a lot of cases, the mental side, what’s holding you back from achieving your goals. What has held you back in the past? How can we overcome that together? One of the biggest advantages is that you’ve got someone to support you along the way, the way someone who can gently nudge you in the right direction.

What’s Different About Ivana Chapman?

So here’s, what’s different about me. Not only do I have my own experience and I started weight training myself when I was 15 years old, I’ve competed in physique competitions. I’ve competed internationally in karate for 14 years.

So I have my own experience as an athlete. I have a degree in sports science and sports therapy backgrounds.

I’m also a certified strength and conditioning specialist, and I’ve held that qualification since 2007. Every year I have to update my skills with further courses and I’m keeping up to date on the latest information.

My Experience With People Like YOU

More importantly, I have the experience with a lot of different people. Having that experience gives me a short hand. So I have a better idea of what’s going to work.

There is a lot of BS in the fitness industry.

You don’t need to starve yourself and you don’t need to give up all the foods that you love. You don’t need to unnecessarily give up things like gluten or dairy. If you’re not celiac, or you don’t have digestive issues, or you’re not lactose intolerant, that doesn’t mean that you can eat anything and everything that you want. But it does mean that if you make the right plan, you can include just about any food.

And to me, that’s the most positive part of it! There’s so much that you can have so much that you thought that you had to restrict yourself to. And maybe you don’t have to, if you just play the game smart and you don’t have to do tons of cardio, you don’t have to spend hours in the gym.

Who Is Online Coaching NOT For?

Online Coaching is not for everybody.

There are some people who need someone standing over them and barking directions at them in order to get them to do any exercise.

Those people will not be successful with online coaching. So you do need to be self motivated.

If you want someone to be there with you, as you get fitter healthier and stronger than online coaching could be ideal for you.
