Want to look healthy and sport a sexy shape on the beach?

Ahhhh, summer! The blissful sun-drenched days we’ve been waiting for. Finally we have an opportunity to break out those lean, six-packed physiques we’ve been working on for the last few months. If you LOL’d at that last sentence then maybe things didn’t come together this time and you’re still sporting that extra layer around your middle that you stored over the winter.

It’s not too late to show off an impressive physique on the beach. Summer brings many temptations that can stall your physique goals. BBQs, weddings, and cottage weekends put pressure on you to eat foods that aren’t doing your body any favours.

What’s the best way to deal with all the enticing options?

Choose carefully.

Plan ahead and decide what treat you want, whether it’s beer, ice cream, or potato salad. Make sure it’s really worth it for you, and keep the rest of your food choices low in carbs and sugar. Obviously, if you’re not at a wedding, BBQ, party, cottage, beer fest, etc., keep your diet as low-carb as you can to balance things out on a daily/weekly basis.

It’s not about moderation; it’s about planning and making trade-offs where necessary to achieve your physique goals.
